Kids need to know and understand their rights. Nobody, not even your parent(s) can....

~ Hit you hard enough to cause “ANY” type of “injury”. If you get spankings and it has left an injury that is abuse.

~ No adult should ever leave you for long periods.

~ NOBODY should EVER ask, tell nor force you to have ANY KIND of sex!!!!

Neglect:

Wandering around anywhere unsupervised.

Hunger/Starvation

Inadequate clothing or same clothes

Appearance/Grooming/Hygiene

Emotional:

Being hostile and/or aggressive daily.

Suffering from depression.

Doesn't care attitude/behavior.

Lack of playing/school activities.

Loss of appetite.

Compulsively overeating.


Physical:


Welts and/or bruises even in unusual places or even layers or different colored bruises.
Burns on the body rather its water, hot grease, iron, cigarettes, heater, curling irons, rope burns etc, etc

Bite wounds and/or consistent broken bones and/or fractures.

Sexual:

Bloody or spotted blood from undergarments or even torn garments and/or clothing.

Fear and/or Nervousness

Seductive behavior that is unusual for a child.

Refusal to undress maybe for even PE

Interest in sex and/or role playing sex with other children or even with dolls.

DON'T EVER BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP.....IF SOMEONE TELLS YOU SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN IF YOU TALK/TELL. JUST SAY OKAY AND THEN GO TELL A PARENT, TEACHER, DOCTOR, FAMILY MEMBER, FRIEND......"IMMEDIATELY"......

My brother is married to his male partner, which I don’t disapprove of. My concern is they want to adopt a child and I think the child will grow to be what he sees and learns. My brother says I’m too young to understand. I’m 23 and I feel a child should be in an opposite sex home or a single home. Am I wrong for feeling this way? ~~ Anonymous

I recall a time when it was an issue to adopt a child if you were single and don't be a single

African-American woman....good mercy me....so to me that's “discriminating”.

I recall a time when...wait....currently that there is an issue to adopt a child if you are transgenders or an homosexual couple, so to me that's STILL “discriminating”.

I would think that we as human beings would want a child to be in a home where they will receive the proper care, love, nurturing and respect opposed to the awful home or streets that they came from. The question should be more “what's in the BEST interest of the child”....NOT what race, creed, color, gender, nor sexuality.

Should schools distribute condoms at junior high and/or high schools?

More than half of American teenagers have had sexual intercourse and /or have had to deal with significant sexual health risks. Need I say that over a millions girls become pregnant year after year with the numbers still increasing. One in about eight teenagers contract STD(s), and one in about

four hundred students in college are infected with HIV. So please keep those facts in mind before saying NO.

Look I'm not saying condoms should be distributed from vending machines, or a free for all snatch 'n' grab, nor having them passed out like a presidential campaign. Maybe having a parent fill out a form and that form is passed to the nurses office and distribution is done in that matter. Now of course some don't nor won't tell their parents, so whats wrong with the student completing the paperwork yearly with an option for sexually active or non-active to be kept in their personal file? Nothing wrong with an option like, if your parents are aware or not aware of your sexually activities?

Unfortunately, some students are more willing to tell someone else other than their parent rather we like it or not or how many birds 'n' bees discussion, and/or lectures we have had. 

At one time parents were saying, "look at these teenagers having babies", then times changed and it was. "look at this children having babies", and now "babies are having babies". 

I just saw on my friends FB page just today that her child is in the 8^th grade and in her class sits a girl who is pregnant. I don't know rather to scream, cuss, find the parents or cry. I believe the youngest pregnancy that I last remember yearssssssss ago from the news was a little innocent pretty little Latino girl at the age of 9 years old. However, the youngest mother every recorded was nothing but 5 years 8 months old giving birth to a son on Mothers Day....   http://youngest_mother.tripod.com/

Nevertheless, I don’t believe that people can be pressurized into having sex just because they see condoms. It all depends on each person and how they deal with peer pressure, and remember some are uncontrolled circumstances. If they know who they are and know what they want out of life going forward, then life is just grand and one less stress factor to deal with as a parent. Again I ask should they be distributed in school? If your answer is still no; then just take note they will find away and you can't be with them 24 hours in a day....just food for thought.

Do you think the laws for child support need to change? When a person applies for a job or any type of assistance I think a legal document needs to be sent to a national child support registry. All states should operate under the same system. My ex-husband owes over $80,000 in child support and owes so much more for not being there mentally, emotionally, and physically for our two children. Is there a website to send his picture and info too? ~~ C. C.-Z.

Who do you think has the best and/or worst sport team why or why not?

Are you an all time basketball Laker or all about the Heat fan or would you prefer to see the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in a good ol'e baseball game?

I would imagine if you're feeling football then you gotta luv those Cowboys or you might just luv the Cheerleaders better or could you go for enjoying Tiger utilizing his putt 'n' balls...lol okay bad joke during a good tennis match?

My daughter was born with many physical disabilities and passed away at 2 years old from cancer. She was our only child. We want another child, but are scared that the next child will have the same problems and I don't want to loose another child. I would like to hear your thoughts on this please ~~ Anonymous

 Losing a child has to be an horrific experience no parent should ever have to face and I'm pretty sure it's one of the toughest things in life that someone could ever endure. I would think one going through such a difficult experience would never ever forget the loss let alone ever accept it, but I guess one would find ways to cope, deal with it as best as one can. 

 

At some point you do have to move on for the sake of your other children/family or just for your own sanity. Discussing your feelings in whichever way you see fit to help you; then you do just that in any environment that you feel comfortable with. There is no right or wrong question let alone feeling, so all of them need to be adhere to. I thank you for sharing on this site and pray you find the courage, strength, and understanding to move forward in your journey in finding peace.

Let me say again this is not a page to bash others opinions and this is a topic that obviously has gotten much agreement to disagreement rather then agrees to disagree....


I say this because on the Facebook group page (link posted at bottom of blog) believe it or not the comments went on 'n' on, upside, down 'n' round 'n' round on something as simple as lounging pj's..WOW DRAMA...lol

Who's to say its  not cool to wear them out in public when they come in so many fashionable colors and taste? Some look like sweats and a plain ol'e tank shirt right?


Then you have the ones with the shorts? How can you tell these days??

Yes, I agree it becomes a problem if you start allowing it into the work place and other places that's when enough is enough. Banning it from the work place, church, restaurants I totally understand, but banning it from society like the  hospital, dropping the kids to school or running into the grocery story or pharmacy is just ludicrous in my opinion.
